Different formats of the Statement of Comprehensive Income

CaseWare Australia & New Zealand has provided three different formats of the Statement of Comprehensive Income. 

  • Summary Statement of Comprehensive Income (Default)

  • Statement of Comprehensive Income - Single Statement by Nature*

  • Statement of Comprehensive Income - Single Statement by Function*

* The single statement options produce a combined Income Statement and Statement of Comprehensive Income in a single statement.  If you choose one of these options, please ensure that you uncheck the Income Statement from Entity Information | Report Details > Areas Required.

Follow the steps below to insert a different format:

  1. Firstly, confirm where your expenses are mapped to (i.e. Nature (2.6) or Function (2.5))
  2. From the ribbon, select Insert | in the Areas group > Statements > Statement of Profit or Loss and Other Comprehensive Income. The appropriate screen will appear. 
  3. Select the appropriate format and review the Preview panel below.
  4. Click OK. The statement will replace the current format in the financial statements.
