Why should I ’not’ use the Risk Questionnaires?

The Audit System Risk Questionnaires were written and developed well before the release of the ASA Clarity standards, to assist auditors with the risk assessment process. 
However after the Clarity requirements were released, these questionnaires became inadequate risk assessment tools, and as such have not been updated since to cover new audit requirements. 
Instead, the Risk module, supporting risk reports and the FSA have all been significantly enhanced and are now the core risk assessment tools in Audit System.
We have elected to keep the Risk Questionnaires in the template for now for firms to access them if they wish to, but eventually they will be permanently removed from the template and no longer supported.
Therefore, we strongly encourage you to use these workpapers as a 'reference only' and refrain from using them as the primary risk assessment workpapers.
